Karachi Press Club President Fazil Jamili, Secretary Muhammad Rizwan Bhatti, Joint Secretary Saqib Saghir, Aslam Khan, Hammad Hussain and Khalil Nasir along with DG LDA Ishaq Khorro on Wednesday visited Hawks Bay Block 3, Block 2 and the proposed Block 68. Visited
During the visit, the delegation reviewed the development works in Block-3.LDA officials said that the work of laying sewerage and water supply pipes in Block III has started. After the completion of this work, roads will be constructed.
The DG LDA expressed happiness over the construction of houses in Block III and said that Hawks Bay Scheme is one of the best housing schemes in the city at present.
The DG LDA along with the President and Secretary of the Press Club also visited the newly constructed Rabia Rehman Mosque in Block III.
The delegation later visited Block 68, the new site proposed for the victims of Block II. On the occasion, DG LDA Ishaq Khorro said that letters have been issued to convene a meeting of the governing body on October 15 to approve the alternative location. And after that, the lottery will be held between October 25 and 28. He said that Civil Servant Society was being constructed on 300 acres along with the new alternative site where 500 yards plots have been allotted to all the Provincial Secretaries. Therefore, Block 68 is the prime location.
On this occasion, DG LDA also announced to provide water tanker for tree plantation.
