Under the project Pakistan Information Center (PIC) of the Press Information Department (PID) of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, a two-day training workshop on tools to identify fake news and anti-state propaganda was held in Karachi on May 9 and 10. It happened in a private hotel.
The training workshop was attended by members of Karachi Press Club, journalists associated with various TV channels and newspapers and media studies students, besides, journalists and students from other cities of the province also took part in the online workshop.
Karachi Press Club (KPC) Secretary General Shoaib Ahmed and other important personalities as guest speakers informed the participants of the workshop about using tools to identify fake news and propaganda against the state. On the second day of the workshop. PID DGPR Madam Erum Tanveer gave certificates to the guest speakers and trainee journalists and students.
