The Governing Body meeting of Karachi Press Club was held under the chairmanship of Acting President Rashid Memon, Secretary Karachi Press Club Shoaib Ahmad, Treasurer Ehtsham Saeed Qureshi, Joint Secretary Muhammad Munsif, Members Governing Body Shams Keerio, Nawab Qureshi, Mona Siddiqui, Shazia Hasan, Shoaib Ahmed, Noor Mohammad Kalhoro and Rana Javed Imran participated.

In the meeting, it was decided to speed up the development schemes of journalist colonies including the allotment of plots for 700 new members of Karachi Press Club and to fix the payment formula from MDA as soon as possible.

Proposals for starting new projects in the press club were also discussed in the meeting.

Addressing the meeting, Acting President Abdul Rashid Memon said that we are thankful to our seniors and members who made us successful with such a huge majority, we will make allotment of plots possible for our 700 new members and journalist colonies. We will make Karachi Press Club a good press club of Pakistan and the world. He also paid tribute to the previous governing body for its exemplary performance. Success for 14 years is due to the unparalleled performance of our elected representatives on the basis of which club members trust them every year.

This year also we will use all our abilities to speed up the development work of journalist colonies and welfare projects for members and their families. In the meeting, tributes were paid to the election committee for conducting a successful election and tributes were also paid to the editor Naveed Abbas and Shahr Bano, for publishing the annual magazine of Karachi Press Club. It was decided to hold an early condolence meeting for the members of the Press Club and the deceased members of the Press Club.
