The Karachi Press Club (KPC) marked the first anniversary of the Prof. Shahida Qazi Women Complex with a celebratory cake-cutting ceremony attended by senior female members. The event also honored women members who volunteered during the KPC Family Gala 2024, with special awards and gifts presented in their recognition.
Presiding over the event were Governing Body members Mona Siddiqui and Shazia Hasan, joined by a large gathering of women journalists. Senior journalist Balqees Jehan congratulated KPC Secretary Shoaib Ahmed and his team for bringing this long-awaited dream to life, calling the Women Complex a blessing for women journalists.
Mona Siddiqui acknowledged the contributions of former Governing Body member and sports journalist Kulsoom Jehan, who played a pivotal role during the construction of the Women Complex.
Speaking on the occasion, KPC Secretary Shoaib Ahmed expressed pride in the achievements of the club’s women members, highlighting their crucial role in KPC’s growth and success. He encouraged continued efforts in organizing events and contributing to the club’s development.
The program concluded with a lunch, bringing together the KPC community to celebrate the achievements of its women members.
