A delegation of Karachi Press Club, led by Secretary Aslam Khan, visited Lyari Development Authority (LDA) to review development work and housing facilities for journalists.
During the visit, LDA officials briefed the Governing Body on progress related to plots allocated to new KPC members in Deh Mandhra. Officials informed the delegation that the PC-1 for 639 members’ plots has entered its final stages following cabinet approval, while mapping, demarcation, and development work will be completed in phases.
LDA authorities assured that there are no legal hurdles for members wishing to begin construction on their plots in Block 68. Officials also confirmed that lease and mutation processes have been completed successfully.
It was further agreed that LDA representatives will regularly visit Karachi Press Club to guide members and help resolve housing-related issues, while monthly follow-up meetings will monitor project progress.
