Lifesaving, Learn and Teach Drill exercise under Karachi Press Club conducted by Karachi Press Club. Trauma and Emergency expert, Dr. Rashid Aqeel conducted the drilling exercise. A large number of senior journalists including President Karachi Press Club Fazal Jamili, Secretary Rizwan Bhatti, Governing Body members Hamid Rehman, Farooq Sami, KUJ Vice President, Salim Khan were present on the occasion.

Dr. Rashid Aqeel said that the purpose of this exercise is to create awareness among the journalists and the people. There have been earthquakes in Pakistan, there have been bomb blasts, train accidents and plane crashes. Those who are taught some techniques can save the lives of the injured.

“It’s a tragedy that a lot of people stand up after the accident and start making videos. The media has a big role to play in educating the people, saving lives, learning and teaching,”

he said. President Karachi Press Club Fazil Jamili said that Karachi Press Club conducts workshops for its members from time to time so that journalists can also learn technical and soft skills. In case of any accident, human life could be saved.

Exercise moderator and member of the KPC working committee Hamid-ur-Rehman thanked all the guests and said that this is the first exercise of its kind and this exercise will continue in the future as well.
