An important meeting of the governing body of Karachi Press Club on housing schemes was held with the Chair of President Fazil Jamili at Karachi Press Club on Saturday.
Secretary Muhammad Rizwan Bhatti, Joint Secretary Saqib Saghir, members of the governing body Farooq Sami, Hamid-ur-Rehman, Aziz Sanghora and Rasheed Memon attended the meeting.
On special invitation, the meeting was also attended by Sindh Local Government Minister Nasir Hussain Shah, DG LDA Muhammad Ishaq, Member Board of Revenue Sami Siddiqui, Additional DG MDA Haji Ahmed and other senior officials of LDA and MDA.
During the meeting senior officials of LDA informed that Hawksbay LDA lease matter is on the final stage.
The LDA has arranged for payment for the board of revenue against lease. The case is currently with the Advocate General for his comments. The lease issue is likely to be resolved soon.
Local Government Minister Nasir Hussain Shah directed that lease process must done on priority basis and they should be informed where they are needed.
The Local Government Minister announced that the governing body of the LDA would meet by October 15, 2021
In which, Approval for re-allotment of plots of Hawksbay Block 2 affecttees will be given in Block 68 and balloting will be held till October 28.
It was decided in the meeting that for sale and purchase of Hawks Bay plots, Karachi Press Club’ NOC will be mandatory.
It was informed in the meeting that three development workbschemes have been included in the annual development program for Hawke’s Bay LDA in which work has been started on two of them.
The officials said that the allotment letter of Taiser Town and Malir Housing Scheme are not being given to the journalists due to non-payment of Development and cost of land by the Sindh government.
In the meeting, the Local Government minister said that payment would be made by the government and a summary would be sent in this regard. However, for time being the journalists should be given conditional possession.
The minister also assured to make efforts for the plots of new 700 members.
