The Department of Media and Communication Studies at Sindh Madressa-tul-Islam University (SMIU), led by Chairperson Dr. Ambreen Fazal and Course Incharge Dr. Nausheen Hussain, visited the Karachi Press Club with a group of enthusiastic students.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Joint Secretary Muhammad Munsif, former President of Karachi Union of Journalists (Dastoor), and senior health reporter from Samaa News, Hamidur Rehman.
The students attended a detailed session in the newly renovated board room, where they were briefed on the legacy and facilities of the Karachi Press Club. The session also included an interactive Q&A that provided insights into the real-world challenges and responsibilities of journalists.
The faculty and students appreciated the vital role played by the Press Club in promoting freedom of expression and democracy in Pakistan. They pledged to uphold these values as they step into the media industry and contribute to responsible journalism.
