In a recent visit to the Karachi Press Club, Chinese Consul General Yang Yundong emphasized that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will significantly contribute to Pakistan’s economic prosperity. He stressed the need for a conducive, peaceful, and secure environment to attract investment for the project.
Consul General Yang noted the importance of political stability in Balochistan and urged local political parties to work towards peace. He reaffirmed the strong, longstanding ties between Pakistan and China and highlighted joint security measures against terrorism. He also expressed regret over extrajudicial killings in Kashmir and supported a resolution in line with UN resolutions.
Yang praised the Karachi Press Club for its role in strengthening Pakistan-China relations and welcomed further cooperation between the two nations.
