On Saturday, July 13, 2024, a trust meeting was held at Rabia Rehman Mosque in Journalists Colony, Hawksbay, Block 3. The meeting included a gathering and luncheon with members and their families who are constructing homes in Block 2, Block 3, Block 3A, and Block 3A1. The President of Karachi Press Club, Saeed Sarbazi, Secretary Shoaib Ahmed, and Secretary of the Plot Development Committee, Shams Kario, provided updates on the progress of meetings and work regarding the development of the Journalists Colony with the Government of Sindh and the Lyari Development Authority.
Notable attendees included former President Fazil Jamili, Ahmed Malik, former Secretary Amir Latif, Rizwan Bhatti, Treasurer Ehtesham Saeed Qureshi, President of Rabia Rehman Mosque Trust Ahmed Hasan, Shahid Iqbal, Aqeel Rana, Hanif Akbar, Nasrullah Chaudhry, Nizamuddin Siddiqui, Adil Zafar, Miraj Fatima, Aftab Syed, and Javed Rashid. Senior members of the community also attended the event, showing their support and involvement in the ongoing development efforts.
