Muhammad Saeed Sarbazi is a leading Pakistani journalist, anchorperson, analyst, and activist. He holds considerable experience of both print and electronic media. He has been on the forefront as far as journalists’ rights are concerned. Sarbazi is currently serving as vice president of Karachi Press Club (KPC). This is not his first stint as a prominent member of the prestigious elected body of journalists in Karachi. The journalist community has been reposing its confidence in his leadership in the past over two decades.
Sarbazi has varied interests, but first things first. He has been serving as shift in-charge of the country’s most reliable financial newspaper Business Recorder for over a decade. Before joining the Business Recorder, Sarbazi served as news editor of another financial newspaper Financial Post. This speaks volumes about his credentials as a financial journalist. However, this is just a part of the story. His expertise and analysis transcend far beyond financial news editing.
Sarbazi is a reliable voice on political and security issues related to Balochistan and Iran, particularly Gwadar in the context of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Gwadar is an entry and exit point of the CPEC and, therefore, the region has assumed unprecedented significance in the regional context. Sarbazi, who is from Balochistan and a native speaker, co-hosts “Mae Watan Mae Joist” at VSH News. He has been using the program to air his views regarding widespread deprivation and poverty in Balochistan, in addition to the political and financial relationship between the federation and the province. In addition to the VSH News, Pakistan Television, and several other national and international news channel carry his views and analysis on the ever-changing political scenario in the country.
Last but not least, Sarbazi has been playing his role for the uplift of the journalist community in the country. He has been acting as a bridge between the journalist community of Quetta and Karachi for past several years. Sarbazi helped to provide the most vibrant platform of the KPC to the voiceless people of Balochistan.
