The leader of Islamic Jamiat-e-Talaba Karachi, Abish Siddiqui, visited the Karachi Press Club, where he met with the President, Secretary, members of the Governing Body, and senior journalists. During this visit, the President of Karachi Press Club, Saeed Sarbazi, and Secretary Shoaib Ahmed emphasized the importance of student unions in Pakistan, highlighting that students have always been at the forefront of political and democratic struggles. They described student unions as nurseries for politics, fostering leadership and positive democratic values in youth.

The press club officials noted that the ban on student unions has led to an increase in extremist tendencies among youth. The leaders stressed the need for student organizations to be reinstated, as they nurture leadership skills and prepare students for future challenges.

Abish Siddiqui, during the visit, invited students to participate in the upcoming “Techno Fest” at Expo Center Karachi on October 12-13, which will feature projects, innovation awards, and job fairs. This event will provide opportunities for young people to showcase their talents, connect with industry professionals, and find career opportunities.

Karachi Press Club officials also praised the ongoing efforts of the press club in promoting freedom of speech and democracy, stating that they have always stood with marginalized communities and journalists’ rights.
